DISCOVER THE HAVELI OF TALES

The haveli breathes:
with profound Indian-ness
and old storybook charm

In Mukunda, the work of restoration is a continuous process born from passion. The havelis and older structures in the villages of Shekhawati are facing an existential crisis, much due to both neglect and the extremes of current climate change.

To restore these architectural masterpieces and infuse new life into them, it is important that they are restored using the same methods once used in their construction.

We believe that our involvement and continuation of these delicate and archetypal processes establishes a deeper connection between conservation, ecology and sustenance.

Under such guidelines, Mukunda has become a world of functional spaces, graced with its original beauty and an atmosphere that is consciously both unpretentious and unhidden. A place of experiential living for our welcomed visitors. It is also our hope and desired intention to impress upon our neighbors a mutual sense of dedication to preserving the history of these landmark structures.
